Lift Function Wont Work

Post by Kelly »

I have a Nissan 4 wheel sitdown 50 volt electric forklift and the lift function won't work. The meter panel BDI warning lamp is on all the time. The battery is fully charged and the meter shows that it is a full 100%. I have measured the BDI and key switch input voltage at the proper connector and and it is at 52v. I have checked the battery negative is not elevated at all.

The controller is showing fault 7FF. The LED flashing 7 times- which is low battery voltage but as described above it is not low.

We can make the pump contactor come on on manually and the hydraulic pump runs, also we can operate the lift by doing this.

We also confirmed the pump switch operation and it switches whenever I operate any hydraulic function.

If you can get the functions to work by manually working the contactor then it sounds like you either have a bad controller, contactor or wiring to the contactor. With the problem of also having the battery meter and code showing low voltage, this would make me lean toward the controller. Two problems with the only thing in common is the controller.
